HYDRO-01 field-tested
Deployments in Brittany, Denmark and the Faroe Islands: navigation, communications, energy management, solar integration, acoustic missions. Every sortie reveals technical limits and feeds the next iterations. Iceland is under consideration next.

Hydronaute
The boat is being prepared
The Renaud 8000 hull (1987) is restored, the boat available, the base fit-out done. Integration of the HYDRO-02 exoskeleton, scientific equipment and the regulatory framework are under way — service remains subject to the mooring framework and required authorisations.

The HYDRO-02 assembly is drawn
The assembly design — X-braced modular structure on floats, boarding platform, corner plates — is established with build partner La Mutine. The technical plate is published on the exoskeleton page.

The exoskeleton in development
The modular, reversible structure designed to equip existing hulls is in development around the Hydronaute. Each envisaged function — solar, electric drive, sensor modules — is validated in stages.

Funding
First round closed — €100,000
Seed funding raised from Réseau Initiative, France Active, Nantes Transition and Bpifrance. A second round is planned for 2027 to industrialise the exoskeleton.

Trashure Island
The game presented in Nantes, then London
Trashure Island was presented in Nantes with the City of Nantes and Plastic Odyssey, then at London Climate Week. Every run contributes, anonymously, to an experimental corpus of navigation decisions.
